During a Spring quarter at the University of Washington, Omar ventured to Copenhagen with his studio in search of a different perspective on design.  With the help of Tina Christensen, an established Danish designer, they were given a thorough introduction to Copenhagen and Danish culture.  During several trips to prominent galleries, museums, manufacturers, and collections in and near the city, they experienced the rich history of Danish Design and translated it into their own designs.  The design of Omar’s chair was reductive, using only the “necessary” materials while respecting human scale and comfort.  He borrowed from old and new perspectives and merged them into something that he is proud to call his Chair.
